CALCULATION OF THE EUA VALUE OF THE £ ON 10 JANUARY 1978

The EUA in any Community currency is the sum in that currency of the fixed currency amounts shown in the left hand column below. The right hand column shows the calculation of the EUA, from these currency amounts using Dublin exchange rates of 10 January.

Note: The Commission use exchange rates on the Belgían market in calculating the EUA and so the official figure £1 = 1·5787 EUA is slightly different from the above.
