* Principal Clerks have a lower minimum salary than Assistant Principals (Department of Finance) but the maximum salary for the two grades is the same.


** Junior Clerks are recruited by means of limited competition from among established Executive Officers. An Executive Officer, on appointment as Junior Clerk, is placed on the scale at a point three increments above his existing point.
