1. The Committee met at 7.45 p.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

The Minister for Justice, Deputies Andrews, Brosnan, Joan Burke, Daly, Barry Desmond, Eileen Desmond, Esmonde, Geoghegan-Quinn, Haughey, Hogan-O’Higgins, Fergus O’Brien, Pattison and Power.

3. Election of Chairman.

Motion made (Deputy Joan Burke):

“That Deputy Esmonde be Chairman of the Committee.”

Question put and agreed to.

Deputy Esmonde took the Chair accordingly.

4. Notice of Amendments.

Ordered: That notice of proposed amendments be given not later than 12 noon on Wednesday, 12th November, 1975: Provided that amendments could be moved without notice.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 7.55 p.m. until 4.15 p.m., Tuesday, 18th November, 1975.
