Proceedings of the Committee

Déardaoin, 20 Samhain, 1975.

Thursday, 20th November, 1975.

1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputies Bermingham, Crotty, de Valera, H. Gibbons, Governey, Griffin, Mac Sharry, Moore, C. Murphy, Pattison, Toal and Tunney.

3. Election of Chairman.

Motion made (Deputy Pattison):

“That Deputy de Valera be Chairman of the Committee.”

Question put and agreed to.

Deputy de Valera took the Chair accordingly.

4. Ordered: That the sittings of the Committee be held in private.

5. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts 1973-74.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1973-74 was begun. The following Accounts were disposed of:— Industry and Commerce, Defence, Army Pensions.

6. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. P. Ó Slatarra (Secretary, Department of Industry and Commerce), Mr. P. Ó Murchú (Secretary, Department of Defence) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

7. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 12.35 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
