1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy de Valera (in the Chair), Deputies Bermingham, H. Gibbons, Mac Sharry and Moore.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts 1972-73.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1972-73 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:— Central Statistics Office, Law Charges, Posts and Telegraphs, Defence, Army Pensions.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. T. P. Linehan (Director, Central Statistics Office), Mr. D. Quigley (Senior Legal Assistant, Office of the Attorney General), Mr. P. L. Ó Colmáin (Secretary, Department of Posts and Telegraphs), Mr. S. Ó Cearnaigh (Secretary, Department of Defence) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 1 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
