1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy de Valera (in the Chair), Deputies H. Gibbons, Griffin, Mac Sharry, Moore and C. Murphy.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts 1973-74.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1973-74 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:— National Gallery, Central Statistics Office, Civil Service Commission, Superannuation and Retired Allowances, Office of the Minister for the Public Service, Public Works and Buildings.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Dr. J. White (Director, National Gallery), Mr. T. P. Linehan (Director, Central Statistics Office), Mr. S. Ó Conaill (Secretary, Department of the Public Service), Mr. C. Farrell (Chairman, Commissioners of Public Works) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 12.40 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
