1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy de Valera (in the Chair), Deputies Bermingham, E. Collins, Dowling and H. Gibbons.

3. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts. 1970-71.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1970-71 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:— Comptroller and Auditor General, Charitable Donations and Bequests, Posts and Telegraphs, Social Welfare, Health and Central Mental Hospital.

4. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. P. Ó Colmáin (Secretary, Department of Posts and Telegraphs), Mr. F. A. Hynes (Secretary, Department of Social Welfare), Mr. B. Hensey (Secretary, Department of Health) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

5. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 12.20 p.m. sine die.
