1. The Committee met at 11.15 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy de Valera (in the Chair), Deputies Bermingham, H. Gibbons, Mac Sharry and Tunney.

3. The Committee deliberated.

4. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1970-71.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1970-71 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:— Defence, Army Pensions and Roinn na Gaeltachta.

5. Witnesses Examined.

Mr. S. Ó Cearnaigh (Secretary, Department of Defence), Mr. L. Tóibín (Secretary, Roinn na Gaeltachta) and the Comptroller and Auditor General were examined.

6. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 1 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
