With reference to my examination before the Public Accounts Committee on 16th November, 1972, the Chairman requested a note in relation to the inclusion in Subhead G of Vote 40 for 1969/70 of expenses of delegations to International Organisations, whereas Subhead B.1 of the Vote provided for travelling and incidental expenses of staff.

The purpose of this procedure is to show the full cost of membership of these organisations (subscriptions and attendance expenses) rather than to have part of the cost submerged in another Subhead.
