PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE

Wednesday, 12 April, 1972.

1. The Committee met at 7.30 p.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Patrick Hogan (in the Chair), Deputies R. Burke, E. Collins, FitzGerald, H. Gibbons and Tunney.

3. Mr. E. F. Suttle (Comptroller and Auditor General) was in attendance in an advisory capacity.

4. The Committee noted a letter* of 28 March, 1972 received from the solicitor for Mr. John Kelly.

5. The Committee considered a letter† of 29 March, 1972 from Mr. C. H. Murray, Secretary Department of Finance, relating to the secret semi-official letter of 21 May, 1970.

Resolved: to approve form of letter* to Mr. Murray and to request him to attend on a date to be arranged.

6. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 9.50 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday 20 April, 1972.
