PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE

1. The Committee met at 7.15 p.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Patrick Hogan (in the Chair), Deputies Barrett, FitzGerald, MacSharry, Nolan and Tunney.

3. Mr. E. F. Suttle (Comptroller and Auditor General) was in attendance in an advisory capacity.

4. The Committee deliberated.

5. Ordered: to request again* the Department of Finance to send a copy of extracts from the secret semi-official letter of 21 May, 1970 addressed to the Secretary, Department of Finance by the then Secretary of the Department of Justice.

6. Consideration of the form of a draft Final Report was resumed.

7. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 10 p.m. until 4.30 p.m. tomorrow.
