PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE

1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Patrick Hogan (in the Chair), Deputies Barrett, R. Burke, E. Collins, FitzGerald, H. Gibbons, MacSharry, Nolan, Treacy and Tunney.

3. Mr. E. F. Suttle (Comptroller and Auditor General) was in attendance in an advisory capacity.

4. The Committee went into public session.

5. Witnesses Examined.

Examination of the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries was resumed.

6. The Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries withdrew.

7. The Committee went into private session.

8. Ordered: that Mr. C. H. Murray, Secretary, Department of Finance be requested to attend in relation to papers in possession of the Department relevant to Order of 1 December, 1970.

9. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 12.50 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Tuesday next.
