1. The Committee met at 4.15 p.m.


2. Members Present.


The following members were present:—

3. Consideration of Memoranda.


Following consideration of memoranda submitted by Departments in accordance with the Orders of 5th March, 16th April and 11th June, 1969, it was:—


(i) Resolved: That it is not necessary to draw the special attention of Seanad Éireann to the following instruments:—


Hiring Order, 1968 [S.I. No. 224 of 1968].


Hire Purchase and Credit Sale Order, 1968 [S.I. No. 225 of 1968].


Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (County of Sligo) (Amendment) Regulations, 1969 [S.I. No. 52 of 1969].


Urban District of Ceanannus Mór (Alteration of Boundary) Order, 1969 [S.I. No. 51 of 1969].


Urban District of Monaghan (Alteration of Boundary) Order, 1969 [S.I. No. 50 of 1969].


(ii) Resolved: That the special attention of Seanad Éireann be drawn to the following instrument on ground (ii) of the Resolution of Reference:—


Redundancy (Redundancy Appeals Tribunal) (Amendment) Regulations, 1969 [S.I. No. 26 of 1969].


(iii) Resolved: That the special attention of Seanad Éireann be drawn to the following instrument on ground (iii) of the Order of Reference:—


Trustee Savings Banks (Interest on Deposits in Special Account) Regulations, 1969 [S.I. No. 15 of 1969].


(iv) Resolved: That the special attention of Seanad Éireann be drawn to the following instrument on ground (iv) of the Resolution of Reference:—


Industrial Training (Textiles Industry) Order, 1968 [S.I. No. 278 of 1968].


(v) Ordered: That in respect of the following instrument the Department of Justice be requested to submit a further memorandum explaining the instrument:—


Censorship of Films (Fees) Order, 1969 [S.I. No. 72 of 1969].
