THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

1. The Committee met at 7.45 p.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Senator Sheldon (in the Chair), Senators Cole, O’Kennedy and Eoin Ryan.

3. Consideration of Memoranda.

Following consideration of memoranda submitted by Departments in accordance with the Orders of 3rd November, 1965, and 15th December 1965, it was:—

(i) Resolved: That the special attention of Seanad Éireann be drawn to the following instruments on ground (vi) of the Resolution of Reference:—

Relief from Customs Duties (Fairs, Exhibitions and Similar Events) Order, 1965 [S.I. No. 143 of 1965].

Relief from Customs Duties (Professional Equipment) Order, 1965 [S.I. No.144 of 1965].

(ii) Resolved: That it is not necessary to draw the special attention of Seanad Éireann to the following instruments:—

Institutional Assistance Regulations. 1965 [S.I. No. 177 of 1965].

Dental and Aural Appliances Regulations, 1965 [S.I. No. 190 of 1965].

Housing Authorities (Loans for Acquisition or Construction of Houses) (Amendment) Regulations, 1965 [S.I. No. 137 of 1965].
