TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE: GRANTS FOR INDUSTRIAL PROJECTS

At the meeting of the Public Accounts Committee on 30th June, 1966, I undertook to furnish information in regard to the number of firms included in the provision of £283,000 under Subhead L.1 for grants for Industrial Projects. The sum of £283,000 was based on expenditure estimated to be incurred in respect of:

(a) projects for which grants were already approved in previous years years but likely to be paid in 1964/65,

(b) applications on hands at the time of making the estimate and for which grants were likely to be approved and paid in 1964/65,

(c) applications likely to be received during 1964/65 and for which grants would be approved and paid in that year.
