Proceedings of the Committee

Déardaoin, 28 Feabhra, 1963.

Thursday, 28th February, 1963.

1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Deputy Jones (in the Chair), Deputies Booth, Patrick J. Burke, Carter, Clinton, Cunningham, Kenny, Lalor and Treacy.

3. Death of Member.

The Chairman announced the death of Deputy Belton and on behalf of the Committee requested the Clerk to convey to the relatives of the late Member an expression of the sympathy of the Committee.

4. Consideration of Appropriation Accounts, 1961-62.

Consideration of Appropriation Accounts for the year 1961-62 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—National Gallery, Lands, Forestry and Fisheries.

5. Witnesses Examined.

Dr. T. MacGreevy (Director, National Gallery), Mr. T. O’Brien, (Secretary, Department of Lands), Mr. L. V. O’Neill and Mr. J. R. Whitty (Department of Finance) and the Secretary and Director of Audit were examined.

6. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 1 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday next.
