CONVEYANCE OF MAILS BY ROAD.

At the proceedings of the Committee on the 21st March, 1963, I undertook to supply information as to the periods for which mail car contractors contract to convey mails. Mail car contracts are not allotted for set periods but the contracts normally provide that the three months, notice of termination which must be given by either party shall not expire earlier than a date twelve months from the date of commencement of the contract.
