IMEACHTA AN CHOISTE.PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.Dé Ceadaoin, 22adh Abrán, 1942.Wednesday, 22nd April, 1942.1. The Committee met at 11 a.m. 2. Present: Deputies Allen, Benson, B. Brady, Dillon, Hogan, Hughes, Keyes, and McCann. 3. Motion made (Deputy Hughes): “That Deputy Dillon be Chairman of the Committee.” Question put and agreed to. Deputy Dillon took the Chair accordingly. 4. Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1940-41 was taken up. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Agriculture (excess vote), National Health Insurance, Widows’ and Orphans’ Pensions, General Register Office, Local Government and Public Health, Office of the Minister for Justice, Gárda Síochána, Prisons, District Court, Supreme Court and High Court of Justice, Land Registry and Registry of Deeds, Circuit Court. 5. Mr. J. Hurson (Secretary, Department of Local Government and Public Health), Mr. S. A. Roche (Secretary, Department of Justice), Mr. C. S. Almond and Mr. L. M. Fitzgerald (Department of Finance), and Mr. J. Maher (Office of the Comptroller and Auditor-General) were examined. 6. The Chairman brought forward a Draft Interim Report which was read the first and second time and passed. Ordered: To report accordingly. 7. The Committee adjourned at 12.15 p.m. till Thursday 30th April. |
