10th June, 1959:—Resolved: That it is expedient that a Joint Committee of both Houses be appointed to consider the Institution of Civil Engineers of Ireland (Charter Amendment) Bill, 1959, being a Bill entitled an Act to amend the Charter under which the Institution of Civil Engineers of Ireland is incorporated so as to extend the objects of the Institution and to alter the provisions relating to the membership of the Council thereof.

15th July, 1959:—Ordered: That a Select Committee be appointed to be joined with a Select Committee to be appointed by Dáil Éireann to consider the Institution of Civil Engineers of Ireland (Charter Amendment) Bill, 1959.

18th November, 1959:—Senators nominated to serve on the Joint Committee:—John B. O’Quigley, Eoin Ryan and William B. Stanford.

18th November, 1959:—Chairman appointed to the Joint Committee:— Deputy Gerard Sweetman.

11th June, 1959:—Resolved: That Dáil Éireann concurs with Seanad Éireann in its Resolution communicated to Dáil Éireann on the 10th day of June, 1959, that it is expedient that a Joint Committee of both Houses be appointed to consider the Institution of Civil Engineers of Ireland (Charter Amendment) Bill, 1959.
