APPENDIX XXII.

PROPOSED CHANGES IN FORMAT OF ESTIMATE FOR FORESTRY.

An Rúnaí,

Coiste na g Cuntas Poiblí.

I am directed by the Minister for Finance to inform the Committee of Public Accounts that it is proposed to make certain changes in the format of the Estimate for Forestry as it will appear in the volume of Estimates for the Public Services, 1958-59. Subheads B, C.2, C.3, E.1 and H are affected by the changes and a copy of the revised form of these subheads is enclosed.

The revised format will facilitate the more economic and efficient operation of the Accounts Branch of the Forestry Division of the Department of Lands and in the case of Subhead C.2, where the major changes occur, will bring the Estimate into closer relationship with the various stages of forest production.

(Signed) G. P. S. HOGAN,

Department of Finance.
