APPENDIX XIII.ARAS BRUGHA—ADAPTATIONSAn Rúnaí, Coiste um Chuntais Phoiblí. Furniture to the value of £114 is included in the expenditure figure of £12,415 1s. 8d. for adaptations at Aras Brugha. This furniture consisted of two special tables and a chair for the Court-room of the Special Commissioners of Income Tax and eight 3 foot presses. New linoleum to the value of approximately £1,000 is also included in the expenditure figure. When the staff of the Department of Social Welfare were transferred to Aras Mhic Dhiarmada part of the furniture which had been in use by them in Aras Brugha remained in that building. To facilitate the transfer of the Revenue Commissioners staffs from Dublin Castle some of this furniture was made available to those staffs instead of furniture which had been in use by them at Dublin Castle. The balance of the furniture in Aras Brugha together with the furniture which had been left in Dublin Castle by the Revenue Commissioners staffs was taken into store for re-use in Government Departments when required.
