APPENDIX XV.

VALUATION OF EQUIPMENT ON FARM AT BOURN VINCENT MEMORIAL PARK.

An Rúnaí,

Coiste um Chuntais Phoiblí.

During my examination on 6th October, 1954 before the Committee of Public Accounts, I undertook to furnish a note explaining the increase in the valuation of farm equipment from £663 at 1st April 1952 to £987 at 31st March, 1953, whereas the expenditure on the purchase of new farm equipment during the year was only £5 15s. The explanation lies in the fact that a new tractor was delivered to the farm and taken on store charge during the year 1952-53 but the relative account did not come in course of payment within the year. It is regretted that this explanation was not appended to the statement of accounts.

It is confirmed that suitable allowances for depreciation are made in arriving at the figures of valuation of farm equipment
