ORDERS OF REFERENCE.

31st October, 1951:—


Ordered: That in pursuance of Standing Order 109 of the Standing Orders relative to Public Business, a Select Committee be appointed to be joined with a Select Committee of the Seanad to constitute the Standing Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills; and that the members of the Committee be nominated by the Committee of Selection.


7th November, 1951:—Message from the Seanad: Seanad Éireann has made the following Order:—


“That, in pursuance of Standing Order 91 F of the Standing Orders relative to Public Business, a Select Committee be appointed to be joined with a Select Committee of the Dáil to constitute the Standing Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills; and that the members of the Committee be nominated by the Committee of Selection.”


15th November, 1951:—Members nominated to serve on the Standing Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills:— Deputies Seán Flanagan, Patrick J. Ruttledge and Gerard Sweetman.


14th November, 1952:—Deputy Jack Lynch, Parliamentary Secretary to the Government, appointed in place of Deputy Patrick J. Ruttledge, deceased.


26th February, 1953:—Message from the Seanad: Seanad Éireann has passed the following Resolution in which the concurrence of Dáil Éireann is desired:—


“That it is expedient that the Fisheries (Consolidation) Bill, 1952, be referred to the Standing Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills.”


Resolved: That the Dáil concur with the Seanad in their Resolution communicated to the Dáil the 25th day of February, 1953, that it is expedient that the Fisheries (Consolidation) Bill, 1952, be referred to the Standing Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills [Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Agriculture].


Ordered: That a Message be sent to the Seanad acquainting it accordingly.


11th March, 1953:—Ordered: the Fisheries (Consolidation) Bill, 1952 be referred to the Standing Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills.


Ordered: That the first meeting of the Committee be held on a date not earlier than the 19th March, 1953 [Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Agriculture].


Ordered: That a Message be sent to the Seanad acquainting it accordingly.

ORDERS OF REFERENCE.

7th November, 1951:—Ordered: That in pursuance of Standing Order 91 F of the Standing Orders relative to Public Business a Select Committee be appointed to be joined with a Select Committee of the Dáil to constitute the Standing Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills and that it be referred to the Committee of Selection to nominate the members of the Select Committee.


21st November, 1951:—Senators nominated to serve on the Standing Joint Committee:—Senators Noel Hartnett, James J. McCrea and Michael B. Yeats.


25th February, 1953:—Resolved: That it is expedient that the Fisheries (Consolidation) Bill, 1952, be referred to the Standing Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills [Senator Hearne].


Ordered: That a Message be sent to the Dáil acquainting it accordingly.


11th March, 1953:—The Order of the day was read for the consideration of the following Message from the Dáil:—


Dáil Éireann has passed the following Resolution:—
