IMEACHTA AN CHOISTE SPEISIALTA.

PROCEEDINGS OF THE SPECIAL COMMITTEE.

1. The Committee met at 2.30 p.m.

2. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

The Minister for Local Government, Deputies MeQuillan, M. P. Murphy, T. O’Sullivan. Palmer and Sweetman.

3. Adjournment.

Ordered: That the Committee do adjourn from 2.40 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.

The Committee met again at 5.30 p.m.

4. Members Present.

The following members were present:—

Minister for Local Government, Deputies Beirne, Carter, Desmond, McQuillan, M. P. Murphy, T. O’Sullivan, Palmer and Sweetman.

5. Election of Chairman.

Deputy Sweetman moved:

“That Deputy Palmer be Chairman of the Committee.”

Question put, and agreed to.

Deputy Palmer took the Chair accordingly.

6. Admission of Representatives of the Press.

Deputy McQuillan moved:

“That representatives of the Press be admitted to all meetings of the Committee.”

Question put, and agreed to.

7. Notice of Amendment.

Ordered; That notice of proposed amendments to the Bill be given not later than Thursday, 4th December, 1952.

8. Adjournment.

The Committee adjourned at 5.55 p.m. until 11 a.m. Thursday, 11th December, 1952.
