IMEACHTA AN CHOISTEPROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEEDéardaoin, 7ú Feabhra, 1952.Thursday, 7th February, 1952.1. The Committee met at 3 p.m. in Room 106. 2. The following Members were present:— The Ceann Comhairle (Chairman); the Parliamentary Secretary to the Taoiseach; Deputies Breen, Cogan, Corish, Cosgrave, Cunningham, Davern, Donnellan, S. Flanagan, Larkin, T. O’Sullivan, Mrs. Rice, Rooney and Sweetman. The Leas-Cheann Comhairle also attended the meeting. 3. SCENE IN RESTAURANT. The Ceann Comhairle stated that during the debate in the House on 31st January, 1952, Deputy John A. Costello intervened to complain of a breach of privilege arising from a scene in the Restaurant in which an assault was alleged to have been committed by Deputy John Flynn on Deputy Oliver Flanagan. The Chair accordingly had thought fit to refer the matter to the Committee for their consideration. The Committee deliberated. Resolved: That Deputies Oliver Flanagan and John Flynn be invited to give evidence before the Committee [Deputy Larkin]. 4. The Committee adjourned at 4 p.m. |
