In the course of my examination on the 23rd of November last, at which the Vote for the Office of the Minister for Justice was discussed, I undertook to supply the Committee with information which I was unable to supply at the time, showing, with respect to Subhead A.1, the precise extent to which the savings resulting from staff changes and the non-filling of vacancies had been offset by the increase in Civil Service remuneration.
