IMEACHTA AN CHOISTE.THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.Dé Céadaoin, 11ú Meitheamh, 1947.Wednesday, 11th June, 1947.1. The Committee met at 11 a.m. 2. Present: Deputy Cosgrave (in the Chair), Deputies B. Brady, E. Coogan, M. E. Dockrell, Gorry, Loughman, Lydon, M. O’Sullivan and Sheldon. 3. Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1945-46 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Industry and Commerce, Transport and Meteorological Services, Marine Service, Unemployment Insurance and Unemployment Assistance, Industrial and Commercial Property Registration Office, Children’s Allowances, Supplies, Food Allowances, Office of Public Works, Public Works and Buildings, Haulbowline Dockyard. 4. Mr. J. Leydon (Secretary, Department of Industry and Commerce), Mr. J. Connolly (Chairman, Commissioners of Public Works), Mr. C. S. Almond, Mr. G. P. S. Hogan and Mr. F. T. McHenry (Department of Finance) and the Comptroller and Auditor-General were examined. 5. The Committee adjourned at 12.40 p.m. till Thursday, 12th June, 1947. |
