APPENDIX IV.

LOCAL SECURITY FORCE—DISPOSAL OF UNIFORMS.

A “stand-at-ease” Order for the Local Security Force came into effect on 8th January, 1945. Certain supplies in respect of which orders had been placed and executed before that date were delivered by the contractors between then and the 22nd February, 1945. When the Force was finally disbanded these articles were sold by tender.

Note.—Sixty-eight Denim caps, costing 1/3d. each were received after the 8th January, 1945. These, with a number of others are held in store and it is understood that they can only be disposed of by cutting them up and selling them as rags.
