THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE.

1. The Committee met at 11 a.m.


2. Present: Deputy Dillon (in the Chair), Deputies B. Brady, Cole, Hogan, McMenamin, O’Loghlen, O’Rourke and R. Walsh.


3. Consideration of the Appropriation Accounts for the year 1937-38 was resumed. The following Accounts were disposed of:—Office of the Revenue Commissioners, Old Age Pensions, Compensation Bounties, Charitable Donations and Bequests, Valuation and Boundary Survey, Ordnance Survey, Public Record Office, Dundrum Asylum, Posts and Telegraphs, and Wireless Broadcasting.


4. Mr. W. O’Brien, (Chairman, Revenue Commissioners), Mr. W. Smyth (Secretary, Charitable Donations and Bequests), Mr. J. Herlihy (Commissioner of Valuation), Mr. J. F. Morrissey (Public Record Office), Dr. G. W. Scroope (Dundrum Asylum), Mr. P. S. O’Hegarty (Secretary, Department of Posts and Telegraphs), Mr. T. S. C. Dagg, Mr. C. S. Almond and Mr. D. P. Shanagher (Department of Finance) and Mr. J. Maher (Exchequer and Audit Department) were examined.
