PROCEEDINGS OF THE JOINT COMMITTEE.

1. The Joint Committee met at 11 a.m.


2. Present: Deputy Morrissey (in the Chair); Deputies Little and Ruttledge; Senators Brown, Dowdall, Farren, Hooper, O’Rourke and Wilson.


3. Mr. Michael Dorgan (President, Chamber of Commerce, Cork). Mr. Charles Ebrill (Chamber of Commerce, Limerick), Mr. J. R. Clark (Secretary, Association of Chambers of Commerce), Mr. J. C. M. Eason and Mr. D. J. Cogan (Chamber of Commerce, Dublin) were called and examined.


4. Business was suspended at 1.45 p.m. until 3 p.m.


5. Business was resumed at 3 p.m.


6. Mr. George P. Cussen (Senior Justice, Metropolitan District Court); Mr. C. J. Beatty (District Justice, District No. 11), and Mr. J. H. Gallagher) (District Justice, District No. 27) were called and examined.


7. The Joint Committee adjourned at 5.15 p.m. until 11 a.m. tomorrow.
