DÁIL EIREANN.TUARASGABHAIL ON gCODHAIL DE BHAILL, IONADAITHE DON DAIL AGUS DON tSEANAD, AR LEASUITHE AIRITHE A DHIN AN SEANAD AR AN mBILLE UAIREANTA SIOPAI (TRADALANNA AN EADAIGH I gCATHAIR AGUS I gCEANNTAIR BHAILE ATHA CLIATH), 1926.REPORT OF THE CONFERENCE OF MEMBERS REPRESENTING THE DAIL AND THE SEANAD ON CERTAIN AMENDMENTS MADE BY THE SEANAD TO THE SHOP HOURS (DRAPERY TRADES, DUBLIN AND DISTRICTS) BILL, 1926.1. The Conference met on the 7th July, 1926, at 3.30 p.m., to discuss the disagreement between the two Houses on the amendments made by the Seanad in the Shop Hours (Drapery Trades, Dublin and Districts) Bill, 1926. 2. The following were present and represented the Dáil :— Deputies P. S. Doyle, B. O’Connor, T. Hennessy, T. Johnson and W. Norton; and the following were present and represented the Seanad :— Senators J. G. Douglas, F. MacGuinness, J. Moran, S. L. Brown, K.C., and T. Farren. 3. Senator Brown was moved to the Chair. 4. The Conference decided to recommend :— (1) that the amendment to Section 6 (1) stand, viz., that the following words be added at the end of the sub-section :— “Provided that for the purposes of this section a conviction or convictions for an offence under the Act of 1925 shall be deemed to be and to have been a conviction or convictions under this Act”; (2) that in the Second Schedule, line 35, the hour 8.30 p.m. shall be inserted instead of 9 p.m. 5.
