Report of the Select Committee appointed to consider the Private Bill Costs Bill, 1924.

3. Do bhreithnigh an Coiste an Bille agus do dhineadar leasuithe áirithe air. Táid siad so le feiscint so bhfó-scríbhinn a ghabhann leis.

4. Leagtar ina theanta so ar Bhord an tSeanaid cóip den Bhille mar do leasuigh an Coiste Spesialta é.

APPENDIX.

(1). Title—The following words added at the end of the Title:-“And for other matters relative to Private Bill procedure.

(2). Section 1.—In line 19 the word “of” deleted, and the words “made jointly by” substituted therefor.

(3). In Section 3.—In line 40 the words “relative to private business,” added after the word “orders.”

(4). In Section 4.—In line 7 the word “of” deleted, and the words “made jointly by” substituted therefor.

(5). In Section 5.—In line 34 the word “of” deleted, and the words “made jointly by” substituted therefor.

(6). In Section 6.—A new Sub-section added before Sub-section (2) as follows:—

“(2) Every order made under this Section shall be laid before each House of the Oireachtas as soon as may be after it is made, and if a resolution is passed by either such House within the next subsequent twenty-one days on which such House has sat annulling such order such order shall be annulled accordingly, but without prejudice to the validity of anything previously done under such order.”

In Sub-section (2) the words after the word “shall” in line 54 up to and including the word “and” in line 55 deleted.

(7). In Section 7.—In line 58 the word “of” deleted, and the words “made jointly by” substituted therefor.

The following words added at the end of the Section:—“And any public bill which has been referred to the Examiner by the Ceann Comhairle of the Dáil or the Cathaoirleach of the Seanad under Standing Orders made jointly by Dáil Eireann and Seanad Eireann relative to Private Business.”
