(Second Report of Joint Committee on Private Bill Procedure.)

1. The Report of the Joint Committee on Private Bill Procedure dated the 30th October, 1923, was received by the Seanad on the 14th day of November, 1923, and by the Dáil on the 21st day of November, 1923.

2. By Orders of the Seanad and of the Dáil dated respectively the 14th day of November, 1923, and the 21st day of November, 1923, the Report was referred back to the Joint Committee for further consideration.

3. The Joint Committee held a meeting on Wednesday, the 21st day of November, 1923, to consider Amendments to the draft Standing Orders suggested by members of both Houses.

4. The Joint Committee considered the amendments to the Draft Standing Orders submitted; incorporated some and rejected others.

5. The Joint Committee recommend the adoption by the Dáil and the Seanad of the Standing Orders set out in the Schedule hereto, as amended.

6. The Joint Committee recommend, in the event of the Standing Orders being adopted by both Houses, the substitution for the current Session of the months of December and January for October and November in Standing Order 8 and the consequential postponement of dates for publishing and serving notices, depositing plans, copies of Bills, etc., set out in Standing Orders.
